If it is on the phone then it plugs in the same way as if it
were not on it. Then the phone and the extra battery both charge automatically.
It is really easy to use. I love that he has one of these for emergencies, and
he loves how it has functioned the entire time. It is a great way to extend the
life of a phone battery without a lot of fuss.
